Opportunities for Students:
- Conference Internships: The National Bison Association is seeking motivated college students to support the Winter Conference as event interns. Opportunities include assisting with conference registration, managing the Thursday Expert Stage, and support the Thursday Night “Fun” Auction & Gala. Interns receive complimentary full conference registration (a $700 value) and gain meaningful exposure to producers, industry partners, and the bison community. Interested students can apply through the NBA Internship Application Form.
- Junior Judging Competition: Held annually at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, this premier contest is hosted by the National Bison Association and the RMBA. It provides a unique, hands-on opportunity for participants ages 8–21 to evaluate elite bison livestock and compete for academic scholarship prizes.
- Poster Session: Attend or even present! Introduce your research to bison practitioners, stewards, and researchers from across the world, learn about other exciting research, and gain feedback from bison experts.
- Video Contest: You can submit any bison themed video to enter. The top three entries from each category will win cash prizes, and all entrants will be entered into a raffle for an item donated by Prairie’s Edge!
