I grew up on a crop and livestock farm in Central Nebraska. After experiencing the ups and downs, mostly downs of farming in the 1980's, by 1994 we were looking for a different direction. Bison seemed to fit what we were looking for. After a few years of following the conventional corn-finishing profile and reading of the nutritional advantages of total grass-feeding we decided to change our program. Another major change was going to field harvest and butchering out on the ranch. Our main focus is to improve the soil which feeds the plants which feed the animals which feed the people. Our management plan is to treat the bison as much like they were designed for while keeping them within the confines of our 320 acre ranch.

Comstock Premier Lodge Llc

The Comstock Premier Lodge is owned and operated by Mitch and Roxanne Huggins. The lodge is an 8500 sq ft luxury lodge that sleeps 34. We offer a large variety of hunts and are also a year around Bed & Breakfast. We are located in the center of Nebraska just one hour North of Kearney in the Bohemian Alps of Nebraska.
