SUMMER PICNIC IN STEVENS POINT
The WBPA will host a summer picnic for members on September 19, 2026 from noon to 4 p.m. at John and Cindy Gedritis’s Back in Time Bison Ranch. The ranch is located at 2606 County Road C, Steven Point, WI 54481.
This marks John and Cindy’s 5th year as bison producers. They will share their journey from suburbia to farming and what they have learned along the way. We’ll get to take a wagon ride to see their herd and their facilities.
In addition to being a great networking time and laid-back afternoon, this will be a working picnic for attendees. We ask that you bring a favorite bison dish to share along with the recipe for your dish. We will gather the recipes, along with several years of recipes from the newsletters, to create a cookbook that you’ll be able to share with your customers. Our goal is to publish the cookbook by the end of 2026.
