Webinar: Management of Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) Blooms to Protect Your Fish and Livestock

August 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This webinar will explore the different cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) species that may be lurking in your pond waiting to bloom and the toxins they produce as well as preventative and reactive management options.

Webinar Date and Time

Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026 – 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The goal of this webinar is to educate livestock producers and pond owners how to identify and manage cyanobacteria blooms to protect their livestock, fish, companion animals, and wildlife. Cyanobacteria cause hundreds of fish kills and livestock deaths annually in Texas, but with some simple observations and preventative management, you can manage and even prevent these issues before they occur to protect your animals.

There will be a 30-minute Q&A session at the conclusion of the webinar.
